I was looking at a map of cow density in the world (yeah yeah I have nothing better to do)

I was struck by the legend, "gray" is area that is not suitable for cows

Somehow I think they chose this at random - because as you can see the Sahara is apparently a great place for raising cattle according to this

According to legend (heh) the Sahara desert has "less than one cow per square kilometer" (which is technically correct for most places; the surface of the Sun technically has under one cow per square kilometer too) but it's not "unsuitable", but I think it's just these gals skewing the average.

The region bordering the Sahara desert on the South is one big meadow so that's feasible.

I notice Greenland is "unsuitable" for cows but Antarctica somehow isn't, and the only explanation I can think of is polar bears.

The Himalayas are also unsuitable because the yaks are fiercely territorial or something.

Tierra del Fuego is unsuitable because all the cows would burst into flames. Hence the name.

The map checks out.

Alternate reply:

Cows are -dense- anywhere. What a silly map.
