Avoid the Handheld Versions cuz they are Cropped Versions of those Console Versions.

handhelds are low power consoles, they run in batteries...
the processors are designed to be efficient and with such small packages of course they can't fit the ammount of stuff a home console does..

And PC is better than console ports, what’s your point?
I don’t understand the point of this thread. Was it to point out the obvious? Belittle handhelds? Or did you just want an excuse to share these images?

I will not allow you to shit on Street Fighter for Gameboy.
Street fighter 2 or Super street fighter 2 Turbo Revival? Cause the GBA one is actually legit compared to the other. :P

Well If you wanna talk about facts, then facts are hardware of console is always better than portable. That when portable systems was meant to be lightweight and had games that made limits and restrictions that of course meant sacrificing playability of some kind.

If we talking opinions, I'll play whatever I can, back then, playing games anywhere was a big deal. You wouldn't bring consoles around with you so we brought the next best thing. Now is isn't a issue with new technology (kinda still is) But is less of a problem now, is more of preference anyway.

Just Emulate the Console Versions on your Handhelds.
While this is technically correct, that wouldn't be possible to, say, emulate NES on a Gameboy.

But if we think of a Nintendo Switch emulating a SNES game, that is indeed correct.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare

@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
