the new version of sxpro allows xci installing, and gives the option of system memory or sdcard.

at the moment I just switch xci's via the album.

whats the advantages in installing? disadvantages?

does it end up using up space twice on the sdcard?

The main advantage is simply not needing to go to Album to change games.

It's exactly like installing a .CIA file on the 3DS. You need double the space to install the game originally, but you can delete the .XCI file right after you install it, so it winds up taking up exactly the same amount of space.

Is there an option/is it possible to install some games on external hdd and some games on sd card/system memory? There are a few games I would like to play "mobile" and other games I`d be fine with playing at home docked.

just wanted to know in the event of a rollback with the nand back to a clean OFW would installing vs XCI be detectable (any log or does it look clean again)

I’m using xci’s from a 128gb sdcard so not using a hdd.

What I’m wondering is if I update a game does it modify the xci or just load separate files, some from the xci and some from the update?

Also noticed starlink atlas update is massive 9gb. Will all that go on the system mem if I select that?

Is there a way yet of patching xci’s using a pc?

ah ok. so is it better to install the xci's then update them, and delete the xci, or use nsp's? cause ive already used a large chunk of my system storage for starlink, so it doesnt use up the sdcard.
