@grall93, the strange thing is that your original Japanese rom didn't work on your cart. I wonder why. That might be the main problem. (It's really weird that the original didn't work but the patched game worked.) If your flashcart has a support forum, you might ask someone around there.

@OceanBlue and the editors, I set some of the scripts to read-only (just a few for now). And I'm thinking about setting scripts at Edit 2 stage to read-only later too. (These files should be pretty good to go already as they were checked at least twice.) Anyhow, if there are anything in these files that you want to change, you can tell me and I'll change them. The Edit 1 files will still be open for editing.

(Now that we have a lot more files on-line, it's pretty difficult to keep tracks of them. I'll try to reduce the number of files that are open for public editing.)

Did you use or activate cheat codes on your cart? Cheat codes can cause conflicts with the patched game and so far, we don't know how to solve that yet.

Otherwise, if you didn't use the cheat codes, it could be the problem with the game rom or the flash cart. Or maybe the patched game is not compatible with your flash cart.

I submitted a "game report" awhile back in which I mentioned that I wasn't able to speak to the girls with no$gba and I would look into getting it to work as from what I have seen I'm not the only one, well I have!
I tried all the tricks ppl used to get no$gba to work with mic spoken commands in nintendogs but never got any success and pretty much gave up.

Just today I gave the newest release of DeSmuMe a go as it's been quite awhile since no$gba has been updated and I was curious if DeSmuMe had overtaken it,
simply put it hasn't yet as it's still nowhere near as quick as no$gba, the sound is going to be sub par no matter what setting you put (Edit: Just browsed through DeSmuME's FAQ and found that Disabling Config -> Emulation Settings -> Enable Bus-Level Timing has improved in game performance as well as sound immensely!) and there will be the occasional missed texture (for instance the girl's face above the test bar thingy) but considering how crucial a part speech has in this game I was willing to forgive it's shortcomings, it's not all bad either I find DeSmuMe to have more accurate color reproduction.


First things first, you gotta plug in a mic and make sure it's fully functional; I don't recall how it works in older windows but in win 7 it's in Sound -> Recording (sounds being accessible by right clicking the volume icon on your taskbar)

Make sure your mic is set as default device and the green bar is reacting to your voice at a decent about midway height.

Next download DeSmuME from it's official site, do try the 64bit version if your pc is compatible I found it to be a tad quicker than it's 32 bit counterpart.
Extract it and start it up, If you want to recover your save game data from no$gba it's rather easy, just go File -> Import Backup Memory and select your latest no$gba loveplus.sav file.

Once that's done go Config -> Microphone Settings (saw that coming didn't ya) and check the first option like so.

That's it, your mic should work

want to report a game bug,
if you play too long in skip mode and you've acquired a different hairstyle (or other stuff)
you might want to save the game first before switching to real-mode again cause
it took me forever to hit the hairstyle i wanted for Rinko during our skip-mode dates
but then I switched to real-mode and she had the same hairstyle from when I first started!T____T

Rinko's default type is "calm and quiet",
well i chose that and i got the "green"(?!) one..twice..

so i figure Rinko's default must be "strong and intellectual"
in order to get the "blue" one..

you are right, cause when we go on a short date at burger's(real-mode) and she happens to pop the question ,(my stats are high,)
she changes type right after i tell her to, but then when i send her a message it really depends if she'll change it,

but i think it was a bug cause she was "pink", she asked me on a date, told her to become "blue"(first option, "calm and quiet") and next screen she was "green">___

because it is a little bit hard for me to answer it
and yesterday when I got the questions I can't even answer it one of them
she asked me about idioms2 and other history questions
If you can make it again.. make it more easy and simple questions.. like basic math that solve x or something like basic japanese (mostly everyone knows like usagi or other basic japanese)..

the game was made like this and I appreciate jjjewel and the team's work to be as close to the original as possible,

some of the answers are very easily found if you open an encyclopedia or even better search the internet,lol

For the Study Date questions, they are already basic math, simple Japanese, and easy English. But I didn't change History and Science questions. (Some of them are general knowledge and some are useful knowledge that I think should be left there. At least the players will learn something by playing this game.

Before I give my opinion on this, what are the differences between a localization and a direct translation to you, and can you give some examples in which we localized?

Edit: The reason for this, which I MIGHT expand on later depending on how you answer, is because [in my opinion] localization and translation aren't exactly black and white, and sometimes people differ on their definitions when they discuss it.

Hmm, I don't think we need to be very serious with the term translation or localization.

For this project, we keep the Japanese names for the girls and all other characters. There are conversations that make you know that the whole game is happening in Japan, not in other parts of the world, and even your main character is supposed to be a Japanese guy.

Anyway, there are also many things in the game that won't make sense in English if we translate them directly. And these parts will have to be adapted for non-Japanese players.

OceanBlue my definition of localization is from what I've gather parts of from official game translations, the internet and other people's descriptions,
for instance Japanese locations become applebees and starbucks, Chinese and Japanese grammar questions become for English grammar instead,
questions about the Japanese older eras become geographical for where is Kansas or Paris, Rinko becomes Jenny and Manaka becomes Mary..
I've seen that happen to official game releases and it feels like garbage to me, I'm sorry>__

well... firstly i really wanna thank this awesome group for translating love plus... but ... seems like i cant download the xDelta_GUI from the mediafire... every time i clicked the link... it responds real slow.. and when the download option pops out... it seems to be in a connecting state only.. and eventually it stops and said some crap "network timeout"... tried it at my friends computer.. but it wont help... any suggestion? or is it because of the country i live in? LOL... yeah i live in indonesia...

I have a problem.

After event confession of Manka Type A

I play real time about 2 month


But a few days when go to school and back home.

I found problem that Manaka doesn't talk anymore (Just like when preconfession and noscipt anymore)

I try to trade save game to L++, but It not solve any problem.


Did it had a way to fix this problem?
