anyone have any ideas on how to or if it is even possible to change the output directory of
cart save.gba?
it would be awesome to use it to load to the ezflash 3in1 run it from there then have it extract the save from the original cart then back it up to the slot one device ie. R4

any ideas?

thanks
Sano

cart_save.gba is a GBA app. It is impossible for any GBA app to access slot 1.

As for some other app, Eepinator can read SRAM saves from GBA games, but not EEPROM or Flash saves (hint: copy the data from GBA SRAM twice; the first file will be blank but the second should have the save).

The only other options I know of require a GBA and a cable to hook it up to a PC.

Edit: You can use your 3-in-1 to write saves to a retail GBA game with cart_save (using the Flashcart SRAM DLDI interface), but you can't read saves from a GBA game with it.

The easiest way would be to download and install DLDIrc and choose the FCSR option upon installation. Make sure you select the option to patch *.ds.gba files as well. Create a folder next to cart_save.gba called "cart_save" and put your save file in it. Right-click cart_save.gba and select the FCSR option. It should output cart_save_fcsr.nds, which you should rename to end in .gba instead. As long as you don't see anything along the lines of "injection of such-and-such-file failed" in the command window, the output file should be valid. Flash it to your 3in1's NOR and launch it. Follow the on-screen menu, select the save file when prompted, then pak-swap to copy the save file over to your official cart.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
