Ok, so I need this program and I can't make it myself. I've tried, but the languages I know don't cover it. It can't be web based at all, and can't have an installation. All it needs to do is resize (with a decent algorithm) a photo that is given to it to a maximum of 1000 pixels wide while keeping the aspect ratio... It would be really nice if the user could specify how wide the output should be. Also, it would be really nice if it worked with lots of files at once.
I would prefer somebody making some recommendations on how I can make this myself, but if somebody has some spare time and wants to make it for me then that's great.
By the way, I was thinking of using ImageMagick through a Windows batch script , but IM needs installing

So you don't need coding help at all.
You just need a program that can do it by batches?

Use irfanview.

I found a freeware program that does pretty much exactly what I need it to do. And Neoice, I needed something customized because the people who are going to be using this are computer illiterate and IrfanView would be too complicated for them.

Thanks to anyone who helped anyway
