I've been interested in making a test game/menu in PBP form for my PSP 1000, but I can't seem to get the coding right. Can someone help me?

Hi there, as Hayato213 said, learn the basics of C first since everything on PSP is usually written in C. If you already have some decent C knowledge then you need to install PSPSDK to your computer. SDKs allow you to compile code to your desired device using your PC. Iridescence has a great tutorial series for installing the PSPSDK and the other stuff so I'd suggest you to check those out first. After learning the basics, you can ask for help about coding on the #dev channel of PSP Homebrew Community server on Discord.

Tbh, that could be tough but rewarding endeavor. To assist you with coding, consider specifying the particular issues or errors you're facing. Whether it's related to syntax, functionality, or any specific feature, providing more details will enable the community to offer more targeted help.

Additionally, forums like PSP Dev Community ask chatgpt or relevant coding platforms can be valuable resources where experienced developers may share insights and guidance.

Im the reason why @FAST6191 dissappeared

To be to a body shop, I'll need to turn on the car, but will it mess with the engine one I do. Hypothetically speaking, of course....
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
You see, I started being more active on october 2023, and he dissappeared at that same date
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
This means that he didnt want to deal with me anymore and thus he left the site

He was always a free spirited type, come and go person. Would travel and be gone for long periods, Irc.

Is it difficult trying to drain the engine oil manually by yourself? Asking for a friend...
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
No, you just put a drain pan under car, and loosen/ remove the the oil drain plug. Here: https://youtu.be/1AVrebTzXws?si=GhSSIeliHS8vHK9c

  • F @ FateNightroad:
Don't have a pan, but it's a public street, so no one cares. Thanks.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Gonna have to put that oil drain plug back in when done draining, n it'd be oily under there with no pan, but whatev. Have fun.

I really, really, really need to finish setting up Proxmox on my desktop and run an Arch Linux VM
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
idfk what the deal is with my windows 10 install but it is unusably slow these days
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Sicklyboy, Should I play Pokémon TCG Live? My phone can't run TCG pocket, it seems tcg live isnt that popular compared to it and idk the differences between each game
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, I'm not sure 🤔 I haven't played it and am not that familiar with the TCG Live version. I just looked at the site for it though and the first thing I noticed is that it seems that it uses the full Pokemon TCG rule set? At least based on the fact that the cards they show have resistance and weakness values
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
In TCG Pocket it uses a much simpler, trimmed down rule set that makes games go really fast but can get a littel boring tbh
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Sicklyboy, sort of like Yu gi oh duel links and Master duel?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
All that to say - I'm not familiar with TCG Live but it looks a little more advanced than TCG Pocket, and that's kinda cool. Actually may look into it myself now
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    @Xdqwerty, I haven't played either of those 😭
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
In which duel links uses a simplified versión and Master duel uses the full rules? @Sicklyboy
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Oh sorry
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
All good! The last Yugioh game I played was Eternal Duelist Soul on the GBA lmaooo
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    When it was new 😭😭😭
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
TCG Pocket, the cards only have weaknesses, no resistance, and so far only have one single attack and possibly one passive ability
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Hey @Xdqwerty , just wondering, what do you mean by your phone can't run TCG Pocket? Is Google Play Store saying your device is not compatible? If so, you might be able to try sideloading the APK and running it that way https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/the-p...okemon-tcg-pocket-1-0-9-android-apk-download/
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
If you go into security options on your phone there should be an option to "allow installing from unknown sources" or something to that effect, then when you download the APK you can tap it and it will install manually
