You can build in a bread board, proto board etc if you want

I have a cheap programmer but i love this Do-it-yourself stuff so i had to test this

Even with 12F629 once programmed? A yea the BS170

. Seems like a nice programmer but I personally prefer ones that do not use USB for extra power.

edit: Good thing I saw this topic though, my programmer has recently stopped working properly

careful when soldering the wires and pins together, a short somewhere and you might just end up with a burnt USB port.

ive done this before when using the power from the USB port in other projects.

yea usb shortage would suck, also be careful (use component cooler or heatsink) when soldering bs120 they kinda burn easily. heres mine, used USB Type B receptacle.

Nice going Takrin, got myself a new iron today so it looks like I will be back modding consoles again.

@philipcooper Takrin provided all that you should need to learn how to make one, if you can not read a circuit schematic/diagram might I suggest you learn before trying anything out. This site should get you started:

Edit
@mr_blonde_88
These are just homemade programmers for people so they can program the chip used to make a WiiFree, some commercial ones are nice and expensive when all these components are basic stuff.
