Thanks. I probably wouldn't need to have it at the highest then, but if/when I update the cIOS I'll choose the highest next time. Thanks for helping me.
I personally maximize all my cIOS rev numbers because this avoids the "system update required" message in the disc channel, when putting newer games in the drive. Other people get around this by installing preloader, but I can't be bothered. Maximizing rev numbers is enough for me.

Yeah I use priiloader for the region free everything option and also booting straight to HBC (although there's probably other apps out there for that). It can help in case of a brick anyway.
Yeah, but you have to take extra steps (Advanced Downloads through ModMii) so anybody who follows the softmod guide won't have it. It just seems like a more logical choice.
I have a question. I updated my Wii's cIOS using the V8 version of d2x but now I can't seem to install wads from my USB anymore with Wad Manager 1.7. It used to work on my rev17 version (yeah, that was a long time ago) but now I don't know how to fix it.

hmmm,
ok i try modmii but it dosnt pull down the d2x wads for some reason.
I download installer from google code and it is only v6 installer
The other download from google code that d2x v8 final, I think it is uncompiled, a folder with .bat and .app files, I dont what to do with them.
I cannot find v8 final wad or installer?
Problem solved, modmii started working and download all the wads, crisis averted.
Just a quick post to say thanks for all your hard work and that the audio and video of "We Sing: Rock" stayed in sync using CFG Loader with d2x v9 beta (r47) cIOS 250[57]

Some games are locking up when playing on an emulated NAND from Wiiflow.
All of my son's pokemon games (pokepark, pokepark2 and battleRevolution) are locking up on a black screen after the advisory screen when run with emulated nand turned on. They run fine if NAND emulation is turned off and all other settings are left the same. I am guessing this is an issue with the cIOS and not Wiiflow.
I haven't tried d2x V8. I jumped straight from v7 to v9b.
Wii setup:
d2x v9 beta (r47) cIOS 249[56]
Wiiflow (Mod 3.0-r224), full nand emulation on globaly. (Wiiflow is being run from NTFS partiton 2)
Wii - 4.3e - full nand dump from SFSD v0.42. (The dumped nand has been copied to /nand/ FAT32 partition 1)
Partion 1 - FAT32
Partion 2 - NTFS
Edit: I need to throw a thanks in here for all the hard work that has gone into d2x. To all those involved cheers .
The NAND emu is fantastic and has come a long way. Most games, homebrew and channels are working great.

Could be your HD. I had a few problems with NAND emu on my drive and after reporting on googlecode daveboal said it was probably my drive and he was right...
Seems like v9 is a little more picky which is a shame. I've got a HD and two SD cards that won't play nicely with its NAND emu functions that worked perfectly well with all other versions. Just v8 for me now
This is probably a realy dumb question but here goes. Not fulling understanding where the IOS and NAND reside within the Wii nor the way nand emulation works.
If a I am running full nand emulation from Wiiflow and want to change the version of d2x do I install it to the system or to the emulated nand or both? If I run the installer from the nand emulation where will it install, to the emulation directory or to the system?

You need to update the cIOS in your real NAND only. When using NAND emulation in things like Wiiflow it runs under cIOS from real NAND, emu NAND is just used for the saved game data, miis etc., not the runtime.
I'm sure, I'm doing sth wrong.. again.
Yesterday, I tried d2x v9 beta(47) which should finally fix the choppy singing games. YES! So I used the recommended setup (as always) and launched 2 different versions of "We Sing". Unfortunately, I couldn't see any of my "highscores" and progress in singleplayer mode. So I think the savegames are not loaded correct. Both games are loaded with partial nand emulation.
I tried two games, because the savegames were dumped in a different way. The first game was dumped off a bootmii backup. This was the initial dump which I used for my partial nand on USB. The second one was dumped with Savegame Manager GX by installing the savegame from real nand to usb1:/nand (great feature!).
I don't know, what went wrong. If it's a savegame manager issue (missing copy of some files or whatever), game one (copied from real nand) should work. What should I do next? :/
EDIT:
Found out, it's a loader - d2x "communication" issue. I used USBLoader GX (latest official release), but partial nand emulation failed. All savegames are created in real nand. Switching back to d2x v8 works fine. Which loader / version is required for d2x v9 beta 47? This should be mentioned for new (beta) realeases of d2x next time.
RE: Black screen when running pokepark2, pokepark and battle revolution under nand emu with wiiflow-mod v224.
I have re-tested the 3 pokemon games with d2x v8 and they work fine with full nand emu. The problems are with d2x v9b only, resulting in a black screen using full or saves only emulated nand.
