Hacking Cioscorp? Is it safe on a 4.2 wii

right here the situation ive got a 4.2 wii which was updated through nintendo. yes dumb i know its completely hack free i can only install bootmii as ios not boot2 so is it safe to install this? (cioscorp)

yeah, cioscorp is ok to install - but make a nand backup before as cioscorp does change alot of ios so can be dangerous if you don't know what your doing.

If you wanna get your wii up and running for all homebrew and other backup loading, try "modify and wii 4.2 and below" - or whatever it's called, in the sticky, then install cioscorp.

It may be a better idea to downgrade to 4.1?

Then install cioscorp. Just be sure you have the right version for 4.1

My cioscorp is pretty much the first original one, but I've been remixing the ioses as newer ones have been needed. o_o

There is no reason to downgrade from 4.2, as it's just as capable for homebrew as any other version. Though it's better to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 then to 4.2
