Do you have to rename the savedata.bin file or the folder containing it, to the unique ID I mean?

EDIT: I've tried lots of times but all I get when I open my Shuffle File in Multi-Hex, is a blank page. nothing shows.

I have a Powersave adapter and I have had it put away forever, but I remember it being insanely useful for Pokemon and AC:NL. When I find it I will try and post codes for OoT and Yoshi's New Island.

@Naquitas did a great job making a tool to port gateshark codes into ntr plugins, we should ask him for his skills to port AR codes into hex values

Maybe it's possible to put a Sky3DS card in a powersave reader to get codes for more games but I wouldn't know without one to test.

I notice you have the filename Chapter0. Did you rename that yourself? Because I'm trying to figure this out with DQ7 as an example, and I'm wondering if I can just use save000 or if I have to type save000.bin.

So I'm trying to set DQ7's Casino Coins to Max. Here's my home.txt:

Code:
Dragon Quest 7|Cheats for DQ7|AD7E

Here's my AD7E.txt:

Code:
Max Casino Coins|Maxes out Casino Coins|JKSV/Saves/DRAGON_QUEST_VII/hax/save000.bin|0x58|0x0F
Max Casino Coins|Maxes out Casino Coins|JKSV/Saves/DRAGON_QUEST_VII/hax/save000.bin|0x1E|0x42
Max Casino Coins|Maxes out Casino Coins|JKSV/Saves/DRAGON_QUEST_VII/hax/save000.bin|0xD0|0x3F

Now whether or not I have the code itself right is another issue, but when I go to Dragon Quest 7 in 3DSMH, I just get a blank. There's no options top-screen, all I can do is return to main menu. This implies to me that it's either not finding the cheat file (though it's named after the same exact ID given in home.txt) or it's not finding the codes, despite them being formatted properly for use in this app as far as I can tell.

Well I found out my pointer values were wrong, but I haven't seen if correcting them fixes this (the pointed values I quoted don't exist in the file it turns out, bad conversion from gateway).
If your saves look like mine, do remember one thing I forgot but didn't seem to fix the issue: The "/" before JKSV. It denotes absolute paths, so it finds JKSV from the root instead of searching 3DSMH for it.

Hey, I'll just be quick and honest and say I haven't read into this a whole lot, just have 1 question:
Can this allow cheats during gameplay, or is it only save game cheats?
Specifically asking this because I'm wondering if it would be possible to disable the cel shading in pokemon games with this.

It's save editing.

I got a powersave before I had homebrew I used it for pokemon sun to fool around but is there a way I can give the codes or something
Not really. You *could*, as I've tried before, back up a save, modify it with PowerSaves, back up the modified save, and do a comparison with a hex editor to see what changed, but... There's no direct way of obtaining the codes iirc.
