i have d2ckey installed on wii. can i just unsolder the chip and replace with argon- hopefully just unsoldering the excess wires not needed? 31 for d2ckey and 19 for argon. are the argon points that are needed used in the d2ckey installation?
hopefully i can just remove the excess instead of removing the whole install and paying for someone to install argon?

cheers

You could but I would reconsider s I've heard nothing but bad things about Argon. Maybe go with a D2Pro instead.

i would do if i knew that the d2pro uses same points on board as d2ckey...i know it has less but aslong as the needed points are already being used by the d2ckey then its just a case of removing the chip and soldering new one in place and removing any wires not needed

anyone know if they share same points? obviously not all of them cause 31 on d2ckey and 17 on new chips

Thanks

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
