I've a PS3 Slim from Germany here and I would like to install CFW on it but my problem is that I am not 100% sure if I can do it via Software (I am only doing it via software)

If it is possible do you know a reliable starter Guide and how big is the chance of bricking atm ? (it is on 4.82)

okay, I found in the FAQ a Tool that checks the factory FW and mine is on 3.40 so it seems to be compatible
