Don't tell me you're even to lazy to look through this page 16 before asking ???
Unbelievable, really.

I read all 16 sites and i followed your link trough goldleaf-dev.

but i got 404 error or something like that...

anyway i solved the problem.

now i have one problem with generating the database with this tool.

all works fine, i added for example 20 games with covers. All look fine on Computer. But in the snes App on Switch it shows only 15 new games and also these 15 games are completly confusing.

For example one game shows the donkey kong 3 cover but when i click on that turtles IV starts. And some games missing completly.

whats wrong?

anybody had the same issue a few sites before but it seems nobody couldnt help him.

sorry for my english :)

If the menu is chaotic, the reason is often before using the new games, the game save hasn't been deleted, because in this game save is also the order/sorting which will be renewed if no game save exists.
But that doesn't explain why some covers lead to a different game.

So while all of this can be fixed now, I'm worried we will all lose the ability to play both SNES and NES online with an upcoming firmware since it will have the required version baked in. I remember once reading about changing the title ID (or something like that) to prevent updates, but I'm not sure how to do that, or if that would even work.

I agree with you. Nintendo has added something to the latest update that makes it impossible to play these off-line as future updates are released.

Both work still perfect offline as before.
Just the ability to use a fake account is gone.
No prob, link is done in a short time using OFW.
Bad luck for all banned ones I think.
Perhaps Kefir will fix that one time.

Some of us can't use OFW though. I'm pretty sure my 2 switches aren't banned, but my last "clean" backup was back in the 3.0 days and even then I used the original web exploit to mess around with stuff. =/

so i got snes online 1.0 with custom games working by first linking my account with kefir, installing snes 1.0, then using goldleaf 0.9 dev to reset the required version. the problem i found with this though is the Cave Database lclassics.titlesdb created isnt compatible with 1.0 so what i did was i made the Cave Database folder as normal, but then I went into the databases folder in the Cave folder and manually edited snes_en_09-01-19.titlesdb using wordpad (notepad dont work) and manually added the games in the created lclassics.titlesdb file. then just renamed snes_en_09-01-19.titlesdb to lclassics.titlesdb, copied it to the appropriate folder in switch, and got a fully working snes online with custom games.

It seems they optimize the emu itself from time to time.
I checked something out with some roms that didn't run and suddenly they work.
No special titles, but good to know that something can always change.

I still wait for someone who can help fixing
Sonic Blast Man 1+2 errors, StoneProtectors fore/background flickering and American Tail crashing.

I was reminded about this update ahead of time, and again a short while ago. So I'm already working on it!

Should hopefully be faster too thanks to documentation and automated code i wrote last time. I've generated SNES Online patches and sent them for testing. About to work on the CaVE database update for that as well.

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
  • DinohScene @ DinohScene:
    run h2testw on it

when SD cards/microSD write speeds drop below a meg a sec, they're usually on the verge of dying

Samsung SD format can sometimes fix them too
  • Purple_Heart @ Purple_Heart:
yes looks like an faulty sd
  • Purple_Heart @ Purple_Heart:
@Psionic Roshambo i may try that with my dead sd cards

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    It's always worth a shot
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@The Real Jdbye, I considered that, but i'll have to wait until i can get the eu version in the mail lol

i need help with nusspli failed downloads, can someone respond to my thread? pretty please:wub:
