Does NOBODY here have any idea what they're talking about?
Skipping fuse checks is a hekate feature. Why would you assume SX OS would do it too? They never advertised it.

And at what point did i say that they had advertised it or even that i expected it from SX OS what i said was that i was surprised that i had a system in place that skips fuse checks and when using SX OS it disables that system. That to me seems odd and not something i would expect so i thought it would be a good idea to inform people. Please read before saying nobody has any idea what they are talking about as it seems like you have not understood the thread.

The title even says when using Rajkosto's upgrade system AND SX OS

"Rajkosto's upgrade system" specifically requires that you always boot into the OS using hekate. It's in the guide.
If you burned your fuses by not following instructions, it's your fault, so stop blaming others for your mistake.

The files you flashed to your nand don't introduce the fuse check. Hekate does. So not booting Hekate means no fuse checks... it was pretty obvious this would happen

Sorry who exactly did i blame? As far as i can tell i made a post to help people who were in a similar situation. Would you rather i kept quiet and let other people do the same thing? Personally i'm on the forum to help and get help where possible if that's not why you are here then so be it but i will try to help and inform people if i can.

Fair enough so myself and a few other users did not know that as i was under the impression that it was RCM mode booting that was stopping the fuses from being burned. As SX OS use RCM i did not expect this to be an issue i'm not moaning about mine or blaming anybody i just wanted people to know and considering i have had a few messages from people who were possibly going to be in the same situation im glad i made the post.

Also where is the information re Hekate stopping the fuses as im sure i read that it was RCM mode which stops the fuse burn.

3.0.0 - 3.0.2 should just be 4. Don't know what the others are exactly but I know that's 3.0.0 because it's what I have and I jumped from 3.0.0 to 5.1.0 using the nose fuse burn method. Not to mention fuses only blow on Major firmware updates.

I don't think anyone's to blame here but truth be told if you read the instructions then you'd understand the circumstances in which you would not burn your fuses.

I think the problem is these days people don't read. Or search. Just rely on other people.

What instructions would you say I didn’t read? Also Rajkosto even gave a method which he believed would work using SX OS so not sure that it is hekate which blocks fuse burn otherwise he would have said it 100% will not work from the start. Where is the information stating it is hekate that stops fuse burn still waiting for this?

oh, that method, but what if i didn't do this method at all, will there be any effect?

Yeah, It looks like SX OS will still blow your fuses to the current firmware.

Edit: Wait I'm wrong. No, if you haven't updated you will be fine.

Ok so for one i presume this wasn't there when you did the upgrade right? That i presume is new?

So if that's the case this would be a bit of a guide..

It says launch via hekate / launch firmware. You're NOT doing this with xecuter right?

I think her question was if it would still burn fuses also if she doesn't use the method to update her switch firmware. For example her switch firmware is 3.0.0 and she boots SX OS. In that case no fuses would be burned since there are no fuses to burn.

Yeah for some reason I was thinking that SX OS was burning the fuses itself and then remembered/realized its because of not booting with hekate. Derp on my part. Corrected myself quick hahaha
