ROM Hack Can I rename my DS roms? DS rom packs?

isnt AKAIO the official software? thats what i got off the site isnt it? 1.8.9

AKAIO isn't made by AceKard, they're just too lazy to update the official software so they just link to AKAIO.
But it seems they posted a link to an old version. Update to the latest version at AKAIO.net, and try again.
If it still doesn't work, can you say which games aren't working? Or can you just screenshot the file list of your SD card?

i got 1.9.0 but now different games work and still most dont work!! UGH. im so frustrated.

Are the ROMs patched? What do you mean by "don't work"? Does it give you an error or what? Could be bad ROMs.

What do you mean patched? I have heard that before but not sure what it means

When I open the games with a grey DS icon all I get is a white screen.

Update on what I have tried....
-Installed 1.9.0 - WORKS
-Installed games from FIVE (yes five) different websites. Out of the 200 installed, only 37 of them work.
-Ran a few tests on my four different micro SD cards to make sure that they were in working order. (2gb, 4gb, and two 32gb cards)
-installed games and firmware onto EACH card.
-tried it all with r4i RTS lite, r4i 3ds, and acekard 2i
-tried the cards with two dsi's (1.4.4u)
-tried the cards with a dsi 1.4.3u
-tried the cards with ds phat
-made sure cards were legit - acekards both had silver sticker on the back
