Sold my Wii U a few days ago but I had not played it in months and it was collecting dust. But then I ended up buying another one because I missed it too much. Is there anyway to retrieve old save data? Or am I just screwed?

You can contact Nintendo and get them to move your NNID to the new console, but that will only let you access any eshop purchases. As for save data I think you're screwed
