u can try boot to recovery mode using a gamecube controller (4th slot) - press up+down+left+right at same time. maybe u must disassemble ur controller to do this. if u did well, then a blackscreen with ur version and region will come (like 4.1U). then u can boot a autoboot bootmii disc and get access to HBC. there is autoboot disc with wad manager too. but u need to know what u did before bricking to fix that.

assuming u can't get the autoboot savemiifrii method to work described above, you can send your Wii (just the Wii, no cables), nand dump and keys to [email protected] and he will be able to fix your wii for sure (the only exception is hardware failure, but that doesn't apply to your situation anyways).

He normally charges $40 for his labour, and he does amazing work (I've seen him work on a Wii in person before and I was really impressed). And since you're both in the US shipping costs shouldn't be too high.

Just email him for details.

Or learn to flash the nand yourself, would be much more expensive than deadlyfoez. Perhaps if you had a waranty on the wii you would get lucky and have it fixed for free from Nintendo, but not likely. If it was mine, I would send it to deadlyfoez.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
