Homebrew Question Bricked My Switch Can Someone Help?

I have a new one
I initially bought 3(one for my waifu, 2 for me.) Now I have 3(one bricked, one for online, one for hacks) and she still has her own.

So lets just hypotetically, ones switch is bricked, and one didnt make a full nand backup, but one backed up my biskeys using biskeydumper...

How would one go about recovering? ChoirDeJourNX, and then how would one recover the biskeys?

You can't use your friends backup. Make a new nand backup.

What wound? Way to act like the victim here, both you and OG are seriously shitty people and you're both trying to shift the blame to others. I'm really surprised you haven't been banned yet with the amount of damage you have caused to others. You have destroyed other people's property that costs a significant amount of money - a lot of the people affected will not be able to afford a replacement. Even those who have nand backups will lose whatever information they had on there.

Do you see a nand backup on your pc or sd card? The only way to tell if you've done one is by having the backup, lol. And do you really have to ask if you should do a nand backup?

Now would be a good time for developers of title installers to check the NSP permission bits before installing, and warn the user if any dangerous bits are set.

NO, BACKUP YOUR NAND EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE. YOUR NAND NEEDS TO MATCH YOUR CURRENT FIRMWARE. If you are on 5.1 currently you should be good as long as you dont update. The moment you do, create a new nand backup.

As far as i know thats not completely correct. You can install a Backup older than your current Firmware. Then you need to boot into CFW and then update your OFW with Choidujournx until you match your burnt fuse count. Then you should be able too boot into OFW again. Never tried it, but i do a lot of reading around here when i'm bored ^^

They were doxxed already, in this thread im pretty sure. Its removed now obviously, but it happened.

i am sorry to read about your bricked switch, i had a nand backup. but i did another just to be safe. i downloaded a patched youtube nsp, fore my banned switch. i felt it was a bit sketchy so did a backup just to be safe. i am glad to report that the youtube app work great on my banned switch always do a backup!!
