could i get the site/name of store you got it modded at? could be useful if i ever brick my own 3ds. we're both from belgium.

as for your problem, i have literally no idea sorry. gluck!

For restoring NAND, you could use the diagrams from my signature or send me your console if you haven't the skill to do it yourself.

Did OP really solder usb wires to the 3ds? It sounds like they soldered to a sd card reader which is alright.

y are u guys giving him wrong info? i recently did a hard mod and i know exactly how to do one. First of all make sure u put the sd in the usb card reader correctly. Then turn on the 3ds (dont put the card reader in the pc yet). it should give u a blue screen with an error code where the last line is 2000000 0000000. if its something else than there is probably a short which is easy to fix (a short doesn't fry anything, it happened to me). then at the end u put card reader in the pc. follow these instruction step by step and ur pc should see it. then u can open win32imager and flash the nand.bin file.

The error code isnt necessarily indicative of the problem, i have gotten many kinds of errors, it depends on the SD reade, but be sure that your circuits are perfect OP, and try and get a compatible reader.

tikifg - you're good to go. if you've followed a guide correctly (I use an excellent youtube video a while ago, don't know which anymore. do a bit of research) then use Win32DiskImager.exe and write your nand, careful not to overwrite your harddrive lol

you seem to have the soldering to the 3ds done correctly. now you need to make sure the soldering to the sd card is correct and need to look up the exact procedures on using win32diskimager. it doesn't like more than 5-10 min to rewrite the nand and it's a great feeling when it powers up again!! haha

yeah I did... :( not good? I read that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

sorry for late response. but as mech says if you connected your 3ds directly to your computer's usb then your NAND is most likely fried. all of these replies so far are on the basis that you didn't do this.

if you didn't connect your 3ds directly to pc, or miraculously your NAND wasn't fried by doing so then i'd try with a few different readers.

I didn't connect directly, I have an internal SD reader in my PC, so is not USB. I'll look for another external reader. I soldered everything correct but will provide an image later on. Could it depend on the type of SD card used?

could be the card, but i think the reader is more important.

So I have to ask because his response are getting confusing. If you aren't suppose to connect it directly to your pc than are you suppose to connect it to a sd/mmc card reader that is connect through the usb ports?

it should give u a blue screen with an error code where the last line is 2000000 0000000.
As an experienced modder (I have done many for members of this and other communities), I do not ever recall 200000000 00000000. I usually get 00000005 00000000, or 00000022 00000000. The difference is the eMMC adapter I am using. For those who aren't getting 20000000 00000000, do not worry. It could be the adapter.

OP: Could you please post pics of the solder job? He may have points reversed, or even the wires may be too long.

yeah i have only ever seen 00000002 00000000 to 00000400 00000000.....but yeah i do wish people would post pictures of what they have done when asking for help, you wouldnt go to a garage and say "how can i fix my car i done it myself and now it goes splutter splutter when i try start the engine", for help on hardware stuff it really helps to see exactly what people have done rather than just having their own personal opinion that they have done it right
