yes it did. i was injecting system titles to emunand (i think the brick was caused by dumping system titles)

Into EMUNAND? You should NEVER brick from editing Emunand. You probably bricked SYSnand.

From what i've read only specific cards will work @hundshamer which cards do you use?

The mSD to SD adapter shouldn't matter one bit since it's just an extension of leads. I'm pretty sure (could have sworn i've seen it in a few places) that you need specific SD readers. ie: SD -> USB

Edit: So i'm googlin it up, but i'm unable to find everything i've looked up previously. I'm fairly certain (~90% sure) i've read from at least one guide if not two that only certain adapters work.
