Bought a hacked 2DS in 2016, didn't change anything since then...

So I bought a 2DS in 2016 from someone on a forum. The 2DS had some CFW on it (RxTools 2.6). He said Menuhax and autoboot is installed which supposedly loads into RxTools and the NANDs are seperated. The EmuNand is 10.7. Since all the games I was interested in ran I never looked into the topic and therefore I have absolutely no idea about the 3DS hacking scene. Just used the system as is.

Since I intend to play some games that require some higher FW (as I suppose - SMT 4 Apocalypse/FE Shadows of Valentia) I wonder what would be the best course of action for me now. Can I just spoof FW or are there compatibility packs like on the Vita to play higher FW games while staying on the current FW? I think 2 years ago someone recommended just updating the EmuNand. Don't know how to do that though.

Looks complicated. I hoped I could just update what I already have installed with as less risk and effort as possible. :(

Edit: Also this guide expects a stock 3DS... But my 2DS has already CFW on it/is already hacked. Wouldn't this cause problems? As I said, I have no idea what is on it beyond what I posted and what it represents. I just don't want to brick it, a risk that is high since I can't foresee what issues the already installed stuff can cause.

Step 1: uninstall menuhax, because that will cause a black screen on boot after you have B9S if it hasn't been uninstalled first. To do this, boot into sysNAND and change the home menu theme.

    Step 2: follow https://3ds.guide

I don't even know how to get into sysNAND. That's the problem if you didn't hack a system yourself.

Boot without SD should do the job (although I have no idea how does RxTools work).

My RxTools always boots automatically into emuNAND when starting the 2DS or leaving the settings. I guess it's this autoboot causing it. How can I prevent that. I assume I need to install the CFW over the sysNAND and everything that is on the SD card is obsolete with the new CFW right? So I could just format the SD card and install the CFW as if it's a stock 2DS right? Or did RxTools install something onto the 2DS that is not on the SD card and I need to remove it first? I just don't want to brick my system.

Also: I'm currently on FW 9.2.0 on my sysNAND. Will I have to normally update my sysNAND after installing the CFW over it to play higher FW games or how does it work? Also: If I "move" my emuNAND as shown in the link, does it mean that my sysNAND becomes the same FW version as my emuNAND is now (10.7)?

Not sure about the first part as I have never used RxTools.
The guide will tell you when to update.
I don't think that moving EmuNAND to SysNAND will update your SysNAND.

Another question: Do I need a smartphone to scan a QR code somehow? One of the necessary links during the tutorial has some QR code installation picture (Anemone). I don't have a smartphone.

QR codes can be scanned with FBI. But you don't need to use any QRs, you can just use the regular download links.

I did this exact hack to my o3dsxl a while ago so I think I'll be able to help you. You're going to want to find a way to get a rid of menuhax. When you turn on your ds there is going to be a custom button they set that you need to hold to boot into the sysnand (if you get into the rxtools menu by chance, there is a labeled button set to boot you into sysnand). Once you find a way to get into sysnand you need to change the theme and menuhax will be gone. Then you need to completely format the sd card on your computer to fat32 and remove all partitions. Then update your 3ds to the latest firmware and follow the guide on 3ds.hacks.guide
