Hacking Best Wii NAND Dumper?

I want to backup my Wii's NAND and be able to restore it later on a different Wii. How can I do this?

bootmii. That is THE BEST way. Access it through the HBC after installation of both HBC and Bootmii.

EDIT: I missed the part where you said "and restore on a different wii". That requires the use of bushings program 'betwiin' and can be rather sketchy bc it does not compensate for bad blocks.

be sure to have the keys to insert into your nand backup for the new wii because your keys from the dump wont work on the wii you will be restoring to. also the boot versions must match, betwin wiil do the trick, but i dont know why u want to do it anyway, just soft mod the new wii and transfer your saves. avoid the headache

^^ I agree. It is a headache to convert a nand dump to work for another wii. It is useful in some situations, but usually only repair situation for someone who does have an infectus. Even then, Pune's app takes away the need for betwiin..... in most cases.

I was one of the beta testers. And even when still in beta, I NEVER came across any bug. Pune was able to find the bugs and squash them. I have tested his app like crazy. I am one of the very few people that are able to do it without screwing up their wii. I've even tested this on LU64+ wii's and have NEVER had an issue. It works perfectly.

Pune is not one to release buggy stuff. Trust me, his app works the best out there.

I honestly spent 3 days testing out his app on my tech wii, a korean wii, and another LU64+ wii. I have ever used this on other bricked wii's. Not one issue have I come across. Everything has worked as planned, and he has only made it better since then.

A software that works perfectly does not exist. If you personally havent encountered any bugs, that doesnt mean that anybody else wont encounter any bugs either.

Thats why pune created another app called nandbincheck that checks everything in nand dumps to make sure that it is in working order before flashing it. You can not go wrong with his combination of apps.
