I'm mainly in this for the Trophies.

Happy to follow any guides, just looking for like a 2 or 3 sentence summery of what the best practices are for doing so on this firmware and model (Fat, non-PS2 compatible model).

Title pretty much says it all.

I don't care about playing games online, playing backed up games, or any kind of piracy. (I also don't care about buying new games on the actual PS3, I can do that on Sony's website.)

I just want to add my PSN account, download a bunch of games I own, and then play them offline.
I would like to also have the option of being able to sync trophies once a month or so.
That's it.

Thank you!

Also it's hacked with ReBug I believe. I have some homebrew and stuff but they stopped working a while ago and I forget why because this was years ago.

Update: It turns out I can run homebrew. Just some of it doesn't work for some reason, gets a weird error on startup.

Update to 4.86 OFW

Make sure QA toggle is on 1st

or

Update to rebug 4.86 then 4.86 ofw

Then you can grab anything you have purchased worry free

Thank you for the help! I greatly appreciate you.

Seems like the second option is the safest and easiest. Right? (I mean I'll go with whatever you think is best lol)

Nah, a hit gives them mad meth powers, but makes them more difficult to control.
