Now where is the best place to get one?

If you live in the Lower Mainland of BC, go to any Asian mall. Like Crystal Mall by Metrotown. Prices are reasonable too, I guess. An R4 + 1Gb MicroSD is about $80 or $90.

RHS does indeed have superior costumer service. They ship internationally too so Canada isn't a problem.

dealextreme has a nice 'essentials' pack for $58 which includes an r4 +1 GB jap kingston +the fake hori screen protectors, which work moderatly well so i'm told +psp-like carrying case +2 extra styluses

You can't go wrong with dealextreme, they are slow on delivery which dont bother me in the slightest.
They sell some great cheap products.
