i have unfortunately hit the limit on my flash drive and want to know the best hard drive to use for my digital games. are there any out there that support splitter cables and can store 1tb or more?

You can use any 2.5 HDD with a y cable, I have a 2TB set up with my Wii U.
I've been using an external drive with y cable by Seagate. I can't imagine ever running out of space on it, and it didn't cost much, so I'd love to recommend it, but for a while now I've been unable to install some games, and I don't know if the external drive is the cause of it, though it might just be something wrong with the console itself.
