I'm going to go pick up an external hard drive from best buy today for my wii.

I was wondering what you guys would recommend and what you suggest that I avoid.

My wii is softmodded and im running Menu 4.2U (if that matters)

I suggest you read the wiki compatibility list. I recommend you avoid making the 105383th thread about "gosh guys what hard drives work?"

i have yet to have a hard drive not work. I have used various brands seagates freeagents, westerndigital my essentials, cheap no names from futureshop, various enclosures from vantec, thermal take, etc etc with all different harddrives samsung hitachi, wd, seagate, old maxtors pretty much anything i have ever tried including the really cheap enclosures from china on ebay have worked flawlessly.

I have yet to come across one that didn't work fine with every wii i have softmodded.

maybe just luckly....
