Hacking 2ds camera does not work with luma

My Old 2ds camera does not work in Mii maker or camera app. It does work in FBI qr code remote install. Using luma I get the following error code:

Have you done anything unusual to your 2DS that would affect the camera app?

Does the problem go away if you remove your SD card?
