Hi just wondering, so I can use micro sd bigger than 32G for it right?

Thank you in advance.
Yes, but you need to format it with guiformat. I've had a 64GB SD for over a year and didn't have any issues
(The reason why you need that program is that the SD needs to be formatted in FAT32, and Windows doesn't normally allow formatting a >32GB SD card in FAT32)

I'm about to buy R4 for 3DSXL with newest firmware, I need to install cfw and to use it for NDS games.
Apparently there are so many selection of R4 at nds card

can someone point me out which one is the best R4 for it also the easiest installation (I'm newbie for installing this)
I saw on their selection are:
R4 3ds (red color),
R4 3DS dual core (white color),
R4 3DS RTS Lite (also white color),
R4i Gold 3DS (gold color), and
R4i Gold 3DS Pro (gold color)

how do I choose the right one >_<

Thank you so much in advance.

The correct choice is this:
Pay slightly more for a pinnacle DS flashcart.

Edit - The R4i Gold 3DS (gold color) would be a valid choice, except the R4i Gold 3DS Plus is a slightly better, updated version of that cart.

If you really want to keep your console with FW 3.0 you could even create an Emunand/Rednand and leave your sysnand as it is. Not that with the current methods is needed, but it is an option you have.

Safe to say that you would need a bigger card for that

EmuNAND is only going to give you problems

oh perfect I will get 32 G instead :) Thanks.
32GB is too small, the best size to fit retro games, DS and 3DS games is 128 GB. Even if you're just playing 3DS games, you might find 64 GB to be just a tad too small. Some games are upwards of 3GB each, for example if you like Monster Hunter and Pokemon those games tend to be big.

haha good thing I haven't get the micro sd yet, so 64 GB should be ok right but even better with 128GB ?
and then after that I have to format with FAT32 is that correct?

Thank you :)

sorry another noob question haha,....
If I do format with FAT 32, is that mean my micro sd limited only for 32G? (even though I have the 64G)
is that mean when I put the games only can use the space of 32G ?

Thank you.

fat32 is the file-system format, by default sd cards bigger than 32gb use exfat the problem is the 3ds only reads fat32 and your pc cant "naively" reformat exfat to fat32 (unless you know command line commands) i recommend using EaseUS Partition Master Free to reformat the sd card

but to answer your question no it will not affect the capacity of the sd card
