I remember when the new Wii firmware came out that there was a massive debate over, "WILL IT BRICK, WON'T IT BRICK" when using the TP hack. This is months ago now. Has installing WADS become safer now or is the whole IOS thing still lurking?

I wouldn't see it as a problem at the moment, and before updating to a new firmware I usually check forums etc to make sure it's safe, if not then I wait until the work-arounds come out.
I'm finding the TP hack & installing wads safe as hell. Ok, I'm using an unchipped Wii with firmware 3.3E but still...
I have all the current WiiWare games so far & I also have bannered wads for SSM64 & Pilotwings64. As long as you do your research & only use wads you can trust, there's no problems.
