so could someone explain, they say patched games probably wont work, does that mean i dont drap my mariokart ISO into that backup-creator.exe thing? do i just burn the scrubbed ISO straight to DVD?

thanks

ok look:

1) reads at x6 speed
2) MUCH higher compatibility!
3) little to no lag on loads
4) patched games will not work with first release (probably) it will come out in a later release.
5) fixes almost all issues with past games (Mario Kart, SMG, Red Steel, etc.)
6) release probably within a week or 2

That enough to keep everyone from these repeat questions?
This release will probably be the one that will work good until the system menu gets cracked. (you wont need to have an app to play backups. you will just need to toss the disc in and play)

just burn and your good to go.....
the patched version may take weeks or even months, only person that would know is WiiGator himself

The initial release will only play non patched ISO's - thats normal downloaded plain ISO's.
They can be scrubbed if you want , but not patched.
You dont drop your mario kart into the backupcreator.exe thing
You cannot unpatch a patched ISO , you will need to download again.

Wiigator may release a version that works with patched games but his priority is to release the normal one and until thats out theres no hope of the patched one. Its simple logic really.

I have added a little about the basics to the issues and answers threads first page - if anyone wants anything else added please let me know.

oh ok cool thanks, no prob ive still got the original scrubbed ISO =D atleast if it runs faster , then on MKWII on WIFI it wont time-out

why do we really want it to boot straight from the disc channel anyway? im happy using a diffrent channel, but correct me if im wrong, is it to do with disc speed reading or something..im not the technical guy lol

yay lets party hard
thanks everyone for the effort theyve put in, especially waninkoko, wii gator, and all the testers out there
and thanks to everyone who has posted, because its been an interesting ride, and still will be
i feel pretty happy and high, woot woot

With the new charger back wiigator,
We worth the ISOs of the previous charger?
Regarding delay in publishing the new version?
I look forward to the draw to enjoy it.

With the 6x read speed does that mean Nintendo WFC will work?
yea didnt they say that mariokart wifi keeps on dissconecting cuz it timed out because of the slow loading times, so with the 6x reading speed it'll load like a normal wii game w00t

Can't wait !
However I hope it'll work with patched isos too !
Cuz otherwise i'll have to redump, reburn and so on

Let's pray .. maybe there'll be 2 releases : one for unpatched isos and one for patched !

although i'd love to wholeheartedly believe that this is true, i'd like some more information...

how has the 3x limit been breached? Whats the basis of the new hack (in simplified terms).

cheers, and i look forward to it.

+1 to this, 6x just seems to be speculation to me - no real information is out.

It doesn't break the hardware limit. But when you run it, you have the 6x feeling. When you don't use a stopwatch and compare it directly, you don't really discover the difference in the load times.
