Hacking Backup Launcher by Wiigator

Just looked at the first page... beta 2 isn't even out yet... why are people talking about beta 3??

I haven't checked in for a whie... WTF is going on??

Now all thats left is to be able to launch backups from the Disc Channel on the system menu.

Afterwards comes the game of cat and mouse with Nintendo's updates.

I believe its both the same risk, either modchip or iso loader.

With installing a modchip, you could easily strip a screw / accidentally break the ribbon cable / brown ZIF-connector rendering the DVD drive useless unless you have help from a pro solderer.

With installing the iso loader, there is the brick, or having apps get the black screen, or the dvd not reading the discs.

I cant wait for this release!

Please make sure all the big bugs / errors are removed before releasing as well as having it all be compatible with current apps that are being run. Waninkoko's new CIOS renders some homebrew apps useless. (Black Screen of Death upon loading some homebrew apps)

goddamn i deleted my ISOS yesterday to clear some space, thinking the games would still need to be patched is there anyway i can make an iso of the games i already have and burn them unpatched and it'd work, or no?

either way i'm happy, at least this loader looks like it's going to work so much better, the games i can always re-downloaded if i have to.

i'd rather use the new loader for them though, since the load times are said to be faster, and the 2 games i've DL'd already (Puzzle Quest and Ferrari Challenge) take FOREVER to load, and make them unplayable to me (i'm impatient). i'd rather DL again if i have to.

but save me(in most cases) fixes the software brick issue where as replacing the wii solves the other... ones a way more expensive solution.

i'm hoping for the patched games to work as well like think about you download 10 games thats 45 gigs i don't care who you are thats alot to download again. I also find that most wi games are not very well seeded after about a week.

ok look:

1) reads at x6 speed
2) just burn the unpatched iso on dvd and good to go
3) MUCH higher compatibility!
4) little to no lag on loads
5) patched games will not work with first release (probably) it will come out in a later release.
6) fixes almost all issues with past games (Mario Kart, SMG, Red Steel, etc.)
7) release probably within a week or 2

That enough to keep everyone from these repeat questions?
This release will probably be the one that will work good until the system menu gets cracked. (you wont need to have an app to play backups. you will just need to toss the disc in and play)

I havent read any of the thread - can someone fill me in on the last 102 pages in 1 line please, i need to know everything now and doing stuff for myself isnt my thing .. my butler has the day off and this laptop refuses to read the threads and summerise them for me.

I believe an FAQ should be put into the first post of this thread.

I recommend EVERYONE to wait until the full release of this program is out BEFORE coming on and saying certain games will/wont work.
Wiigator is working hard at this.
