Well I was looking through my stuff and I found my old, scratched up GBA SP and a stash of GBA games, most of which can't save for some unknown reason. Anyway I'm getting this baby a brand new housing case, replacing old parts, etc. and I figured there is no longer any point in paying for expensive hard-to-find secondhand games Nintendo isn't even getting paid for, so I figured it'd probably be smart to get myself a GBA flash cart; however upon receiving my Google results all I could find were slot-2 DS flash carts (such as the EZ-flash VI)

Well, my question to you is what are some good GBA flash carts (if any) that I can run on my GBA SP, and where is a reliable place to get them?
Also, does said flashcart run Gameboy Colour games?

Cheers.

Of course. The easiest to get a hold of now is the EZ Flash IV. It uses a Mini SD card and works pretty well. It doesn't have RTC, but that's not all that important and for most games there are patches available. There is some GB/C emulation on the cards, however GB is much better than GBC (as far as I'm aware).

Is there a cart that uses micro SD?

If you still have any doubts, my friend got ez-flash V from this site and it is right here with me, allowing me to play gba games at my friend's DS lite at this moment.

slot-2 DS flashcarts just means they have DS-mode functionality. You can still use them to run GBA games, even on a GBA. The only exception to this is the lite-sized carts, that will only fit in a DS lite.
EZ-Flash IV is a great choice for a GBA flashcart, it also happens to be the only one that's still relatively easy to find.
GBC games run well in Goomba Color. You can also run NES games though I'm not sure what emulator you'd use for that.

It's really a matter of if you have a proper ds and want to do GBA, or play ON a GBA. I never liked how there isn't a pure gba flashcart with good micro-sd compatibility.

Out of curiosity, which carts are you referring to? All the MicroSD carts I knew were specifically for the DS Lite, with the possible exception of the M3 Lite when used with the extra shell to get it back up to the size of a normal GBA cart. All the others I know of took miniSD only.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
