Anyway to hide specific avatars or signatures?

1. Get an Adblocker for your web browser (Best is Adblocker Plus for Firefox)
2. Right click > Block image

I do it all the time :<

I also did the same as what prowler_ said, it works fine, but eventually I got tired of repeatedly doing it and simply banned all avatars and sigs. Big signatures pics and animated avatar pics are particularly annoying to me. Don't know why.
