Some people have reported, that it stays in permanent BT mode, if you bent its Pin 10. And that after a few uses it has a high likelyhood of getting bent back, and breaking in the process. And if pin 10 is permanently shorted, N might ban you from online (or not - they presumably at least can detect it).

And your method of going for a 40-80 USD instead of another 4USD one is adorable.

closer to 30 bucks, which isn't a lot of money for me. figure I'll solder the points together internally rather than bend any pins. Figure it'll be more reliable at least.

3D Hubs is a site where you can send a job to a local 3D printer shop. You can even find a shop that offers pick up so you don't have to pay for shipping.

Are the jigs the guy is providing the one that you can get 3D printed? If so, does it already come with a wafer required to short the pins?

Selling and buying is restricted to users below 100 post for safety reasons. By having that 100 post restriction, you can weed out some of the scammers, so that's all for safety reasons.
