Codes aren't region free... and also a month of live is like $10. Doubt anyone is that generous.

And also 48-hour codes won't work as Xbox Live gold. They only allow you to play online.

You can download it on the net, burn it to a CD-R and play it.
No need to go begging for 1 month account.
