In that video, i had whichever was the last one to support autoboot; version 1.something. Though the autoboot setting is not needed for this to work. Ive got my wode now with whatever firmware came after 2.3 ( the first one to support a user-created DL list ). This firmware is working fine for this trick. The only real reason to use the wode is because of the disc-swaping & mounting the created iso. Im sure this can be done by modifying an existing drive and using a modchip. Its just that nobody has done it yet and made a big deal about it.

You can check the the disc-swapping is working on your wode by starting a game, pressing eject while the game is not reading, mounting a new game and pressing reset. If the second game starts, then you can do this trick. If you get sent back to the system menu, something didnt work right.

After a bit of practice, I can start mariokart and swap games while the strap screen is being shown and boot the new game right there. Using this trick, you can have region-free games on any system menu & IOS combination with no softmod what-so-ever.

I am trying to convince 003 error wii owners to send you a wii in my 003 fix guide. Hopefully someone will volunteer. But I tell you what, if you think you can fix it and no one sends you one by the new year, I will send you a fully functional 003 Korean wii with all disc exploits and priiloader installed. Just let the rest of us know how the heck to fix it.

you can change it to iso and burn with imgburn. But what does it use for??

the error happens when you change a korean wii to some other region. keeping a korean wii in its own region is its intended use by the manufacturer.

for all the people that have a 003 brick and its not USA region, good news for you, too. i did the same magic with my Jap copy of brawl and it works. This doesn't help you to fix your wii at all, but at least you can play this game from the recovery menu.

i actually stumbled on this one. i was trying something else out and it didnt work. but i happened to try to boot the legit copy after the failed attempt with my hacked iso and it worked.

So this means that your patched SSBB USA not worked anymore but a not patched copy can run from RM?

i'm glad to see this here i have about 3 bricked 003 Korean Wii and i'll be happy to test your method but sorry i'm from Egypt and it'll cost me alot for shipping my Korean Wii to USA it maybe cost about New Wii Price wink.gif so if you can tell me how can i test it and what about your game hack that you applied to SSBB to let it run from Recovery Menu

Hi, I was going to buy a wode from Canada for $90 for the guy who was going to fix the wii for me (he was paying for it), but I changed my mind when I discovered that this didn't work for sure on a Korean Wii and the secret was in the SSBB not in the Wode. We've tried the MarioKart Method and it fixed another wii but not mine.
I ordered a Wasabi DX and I am going to use it with a savemii to jut play the games till a fix is found.
If u are from Canada can't u ship ur Korean Wii to the States since u are very close?
