There can never be a GameCube emulator for the Wii, and even if there could be (which would be impossible) it'd be incredibly stupid considering the Wii is already a god damn GameCube.

Who would be stupid enough to buy a non-gamecube Wii for playing gamecube games anyways? Old people?

People who didn't realize there had been a running change.... Or for whatever reason can't find an older Wii.

OR Wii U people.

Devolution, is a homebrew project that aims to do that in the future: that means, not yet.

There was also some third party controllers that had a gamecube plug instead of the wiimote one, dunno where to get one now.

You could also use Dolphin for pc, which is truly an emulator. I guess you could hook up a wiimote, and with glovepie, you could use the CC for gc games.

I'm surprised nobody has made a USB controller board for the 'classic controller'. It feels comfortable for playing emulators on the PC. Since it uses the Wiimote as a host controller, it would need a host controller board because the 'classic controller' itself has no real electronics inside, per-say.
