Everything is in the title. I know this question might seems stupid, but since gateway doesn't communicate anything on this subject...
And don't tell me thing like "No you are so dumb they are working only on 9.2 dah..."
I mean, we all know they said they were working on new stuffs, and also that the current exploit is only for 9.2 (because of the kernel exploit patched on 9.3 I think?), but they NEVER ever told anything about the 9.3+ support for N3DS, they didn't say if they were working or not working on it, or even if it is planned.

Then I was wondering if anyone have any piece of information on that. Or even if a gateway member is reading (we know they do), if they can give a proper answer on that.

I would rather prefer a big NO than nothing.
Like some other people, I have a Majora N3DS in 9.4 out of the box, and it's pretty hard to find a 9.2 N3DS anymore here in Japan, therefore if I would love having a good answer if I should sell this N3DS right now or wait for whatever is coming...

but hey I have already been waiting for so long already :P

because they don't wanna make promises they can't keep.

They may be working on it, but they may be hitting dead ends.

Got to understand their decision..

It is like promising a cure for cancer, then saying it is impossible.

All the people that had their expectations raised due to false hope will start the blame game.

Given the enormous size of this page,
http://3dbrew.org/wiki/3DS_System_Flaws
and rumors the bootrom has been pwned, I think we'll see at least one more arm9 exploit before the 3ds checks out of the hotel.

Thank you for the information, indeed it seems there are still many things going in the scene on the 9.3+ :D
Let's hope someone talented comes up with something and is kind enough to share it with everyone...

They clearly told us to not update :

Just yesterday system firmware 9.3 was released and after quickly analysing it we want to warn our users *NOT* to update their sysnand to 9.3 or higher if they want to enjoy our upcoming support!

We repeat, DO NOT update sysnand to 9.3 or beyond!

We plan to move forward with the additional support for sysnand firmware range 9.0 – 9.2.
For users that did not update yet in this range, do not worry. We will add support for a firmware range lower than 9.0 which can be installed using a gamecard update.
http://www.gateway-3ds.com/updating-sysnand-to-firmware-9-3-not-recommended/

And again here :

We also inform our users that they MUST NOT UPDATE SYSNAND TO 9.3 OR ABOVE, because we will not be able to support entry to those sysnand versions any time soon.

Those news have been out long time ago, even before the gateway 3.0 or the N3DS support was released, scene has moved a lot since then, this is not what I would call fresh or relevant news...
And even so, they told people to not update only because they were still working on the native 9.2 exploit which doesn't work in 9.3, they wanted to avoid people updating their 3DS before the update was out. But again, as I said, it doesn't answer the question, they never said clearly that they were or not working on 9.3+ support...
So far they rarely communicate clearly on what they are doing/not doing, and that really pisses off a lot of people around here, me including.

Because you expect them to tell you everything they are doing?

They can't, because if they announce what exploit they find, it'll be patched before they can even use it.

this is not what I would call fresh or relevant news...

How is it not relevant?

basically it is "if you want to use GW, stay below 9.3 because we cannot guarantee anything after"
and "do so until we say so."

How is it not relevant?

Trust me,
I'm waiting for a fix for above 9.3, and I dare say it's relevant.

I rather them spend more them fixing and upgrading, than manning their site.

What's the viability of Spider 3DS based-exploits for Gateway's purposes? If anyone knows. The Pokemon X/Y OR/AS RAM2Sav tool works on v9.5.0-22. I'm guessing it's not viable for some reason, since Gateway hasn't announced anything after that tool's release.

Consider the time period between 4.x only support to support for all other classic 3DS firmware through 9.2. That's probably how long it'll take to find an entry point for 9.3+. In other words, buy a Sky3DS if you're on 9.3+. It's your only option for the foreseeable future.

Sadly a Sky3DS is useless for me, since I need region free to play my EU games on my JAP N3DS...

I don't really know for the old 3DS, but the N3DS doesn't use spider...

I'm pretty sure the "mii" exploit works on all current firmwares but has some serious/unfixable bugs so they refuse to release it.

Was the mii exploit really able to boot gateway's emunand? If that's the case, that is sad they don't release it, I don't care if the exploit mess up a bit with my system, as long as it doesn't brick it...

We don't know why it wasn't released

My bet is there's a corrupted mii in the mii maker and if you view the mii in any way (custom miis in smash or tomodatchi life for example) then it bricks your 3ds

It caused all games that even attempted to load Mii data to crash instantly. It was never stated whether or not it was fixable after EmuNAND was started.

Crashing is better then bricking. That's like 2% of all 3ds games that require miis? They should still release it for people who are too lazy to buy OoT or CN as long as it's not deadly to the console.

I don't think emunand was a problem of not releasing it.

I agree, they should release it for people with 9.3+ and who don't care so much about those "mii" games.

I think the issue was the time it was taking to devise a way to fix the issue once EmuNAND was booted. No idea what kind of trouble they ran into, but they had trouble, and now they're looking into it I would presume. The pressure's mostly off them now that they've released SOMETHING, so now they're likely content with taking their time to fix whatever exploit they plan to use next.
