Hacking AKAIO 1.3b2

He means that the M3 GBA and all the other slot 2 cards aren't supported by AKAIO currently and that GBA EXploader is needed to use them which doesn't work in in the latest AKAIO beta. So any other Slot 2 card other than the EZ 3 in 1 has no support in AKAIO.
Half-true - GBA games still work in ExpLoader, the ability to use the ram in the expansion is unavailable because akaio 1.3's aknenu4.nds is apparently different enough that exploader won't let you reboot to the menu anymore with ram enabled. Not that huge of a deal for me as I don't really use it all that much, but still something I found interesting.

Pretty sure Smiths and Normatt would have scrapped all of that, out of spite if not utility.

I'm not entirely surprised, I've changed alot in the dldi file since 1.2, I've removed alot of crap and tried to improve speed. I think I've fixed the problem in the latest build though.
 
Ah, OK. I noticed the 'official' DLDI file and the AKAIO DLDI file were different sizes. It works fine with a manual patch and NoAutoPatch applied to the file though. Awesome if you got it working in the next build though

I wonder if its possible to enable/disable cheats in-game? It is quite a hassle to restart the game just to disable/enable some cheats.

never used the AK:RPG was a cool thing at the time though.

Start+select+up enables cheats, start+select+down disables them.
