If you're using AKAIO you download usrcheat.dat (included in the firmware but not up to date sometimes) if you're using the original it uses cheat.dat usrcheat.dat or cheats.xml

akaio works with cheat.dat and .xml. though xml is slow.

I got an Acekard 2i recently but i'm not quite sure how to use the cheats.
I enabled it in patches and went to cheats XML and i tried cheats .DAT but whenever i go into a game and press 'x' it just says 'No cheats found in Cheat DB'

yeh same. ive hav searched every where! im tryin to use cheats for my pokemon soul silver (u) and i choose rebuild cheat database and after that it says no cheats found in database. any1 care to elaborate on that?

Excuse me, when I try to activate Action Replay codes, then start the game, the game doesn't start and I only get a blank white screen. Could someone please help? The same happens even when no cheats are selected. I am using a Nintendo DSi
