I don't know if this has already been said so sorry for repeating but I have seen on here a few people having this problem

If you are getting this error: Error MCP_InstallGetInfo 0xFFFBF3E2 when trying to install some games (Like Need For Speed & Lego City) the solution is very simple

When you download these games you will notice the folder name contains symbols like ™ or ® , well delete them and try again and you will see that it will install this time

Took me a few hours to figure this out lol

I hope this helps

Dude you a life saver. I was in the process of doing a full format on my 128gb sd card because I was getting that error. It was going to take over 2 hrs. I quick formatted. Removed special characters and now its working like a charm.

Thanks again

You sir are very welcome

I'm pretty sure that's a Wup Installer issue and not a USB helper one

Most probably is but I thought I would be helpful and share my experience

As the creator of the tool keeps saying:
Just use the tool itself to copy downloaded games over to SD. The button is not there for nothing.
If you do, the tool would auto rename the folders to remove special characters and everything's working fine.

@MartinDocNewland this information is already available on the official wiiu USB Helper thread so no this is not a good tip. A good tip would be to read the bloody comments in the official thread where this issue is pretty much discussed on nearly every page.

Ah yes the button that doesn't ever work for me and even if it did its far quicker to take the SD card out of the Wii U, put it into my laptop and copy it manually

Hmm? Of course the SD card has to be in your PC/laptop in order for that button to work. What are you talking about? FTP?
I'm talking about his first and basic tool "Wii U USB Helper" (which you mentioned in the thread title).
There you add games to a list, download them, put a SD card in your PC's card reader, press "copy to SD" in the tool, chose your actual card, wait and you're done.

and dont forget pokémon games, just delete The é or change it.
same issue with The é like with ™ or ® .

maybe Add to that point.
and maybe change The topic, because its a wupinstaller problem ;)

and vor some reason wupinstaller y mod does not always work well. If u got that problem load The wupinstaller gx2 version. Works great and look mich better than The original installer ;)
