Hi, i've just read the following guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=173713, it's the noob starter one, but there are a lot of thing i don't know what they mean, are, or their funcion on the wii can someone help and shed some light on these topics

ios, cios, cMios
wads

what are those things, and in wich order do they happen

go to the hacking section of wii forums and click on the first link (sticky) xzxero wrote it and it is very simple. just do as it tells you. dont ask questions, just follow it step by step and you will be fine. everything you need is sent to you after you email him.

I have an entire section dedicated to explaining what IOS's/cIOS's are with additional links to even more info on what they are in that guide.

dop-IOS is an app that lets you update any of your IOS's to the latest versions Nintendo has out and patch them with the trucha bug if you want to. (not necessary for most IOS's.)

wad's are anything from vc games to homebrew channels/apps to IOS's to system menus that you can manually install with wad manager.
