Hacking 3DS XL help

I love this forum, I've used it to help hack my Wii U. I've obtained a 3DS XL and am trying to hack it. I'm following the guide at 3ds_hacks_guide installing-boot9strap-(browser) and when I tried the reboot.ms URL, it created 3 black icons on my 3DS. The first one just freezes when opened. The second asks for me to update my 3DS, and the 3rd asks to transfer data from another 3DS. It never seemed to open the Luma3DS Configuration menu. I'm stuck! the dukesrg website just freezes at "Executing..." What did I do wrong and what do I do next? Thank you in advance!

It sounds like you have CFW, but to verify, hold Select on boot. Maybe you already had a Luma config on the SD card for some reason, or you accidentally pressed Start to exit the config when it first showed up.
If the settings show up when you hold Select on boot, configure them as specified in the guide and continue with the guide as normal. Once you update to the latest firmware those black icons will hopefully go away.
I've encountered them myself but they went away after an update.

Okay so trying to launch FBI. I launch the Download Play app, press Left + Down + Select and it says "No software found" instead of the Rosalina menu. Any tips?

check what version of luma you are running on the config menu and while you are at it post an image of your sd card

1) It's L + Down + Select, not Left + Down + Select.
2) This is the Wii U forum, not the 3DS forum.
