Looking through the 3DS game pages, various people have noticed a date for an upcoming 3DS game on the Nintendo Europe website. It revealed what could be a leaked release date for the new Paper Mario on the 3DS. The release date, which may have been mistakenly put up said 'March 25th 2011'. It was then taken down and has since disappeared.

So wut do you guys think?
Can you wait that long?
Though to be honest I thought it would take much longer than spring of next year.
Pretty cool stuff.

Some people say october-november

The machine itself looks finished.

Well Nintendo need to use their brains. If they had any common sense they would release it before Christmas.

Yeah, they just need to have themselves and every third party dev finish not only the hardware, but the games, including any debugging necessary, and then translate it all. In 6 months.

Pretty cool stuff.

Excluding the Wii, most Nintendo hardware and games reach the shores of Europe months later than they do in North America and Japan.

Project Sora has been working on Kid Icarus for more than a year so far (Project Sora was formed early 2009). Multiple companies had "on-rails" demos to show, which can mean that development of the game engines are deep in progress already. Even SF64 3DS had the first level in playable form.

I can seriously see them releasing the 3DS by Thanksgiving.

If you go back and look at when the previous Paper Marios were released, you will see a pretty big gap in time between the NA and PAL releases, except for Thousand Year Door, which NA only got a month earlier, but that pattern of earlier releases will probably still be the same, America will probably get the 3DS and Paper Mario in mid-November.

I believe that date only because it feels like a early next year release that satisfies me.
No homo.

Actually AFAIK, Nintendo didn't say Paper Mario was a Launch Title so, it could come any later than the actual 3DS release date.

Just because they announced it last week doesn't mean they're not halfway through doing any of that.

Though remember, if they release at Christmas they've got the Xbox 360 S, Kinect and PlayStation Move to compete with. Of course, you might say that the 3DS is a new system and that these other things won't matter- that's up to Nintendo. You should remember when Sony released the PlayStation 3 in March; it didn't sell well at all, and if the 3DS is going to be fairly expensive then I'm sure they'd want to release it before Christmas. I'm sure we'll see at TGS.

Though I understand Nintendo's profit will be most at Christmas season.
I might be able to get my Birthday Money earlier in this case though.

(I hope)

Exactly what Juggernaut said, it's not gonna release in 2010... If it does the jokes on me but I can guarantee you wont be laughing because you'll be playing a 3DS.

Nintendo, unlike the other two in the industry, can keep secrets about what they're developing and how far along a game is.

yeh it does look finished, but its only a prototype, nintendo said that by the time they release it, it might change alot in appearance and performance
Nintendo said the name wouldn't be 3DS.
I believe public opinion on the name changed their minds, just like how everyone is saying the current 3ds model looks pretty shinitacular.

With the amount of people who have been working on the console and the games I'm sure they're round about done by now. Just look at all the demo's at E3. If they want the 3DS to sell well then they would have to release it before Christmas.
