So now playing online requires an update to latest version, at least on GW. What's the workaround?

  • Also works on rxTools 2.5.2 (for those that can't launch 3.0)"

Must I do everything from Step 1 onwards because this 2DS has literally nothing on it =/

Must I do everything from Step 1 onwards because this 2DS has literally nothing on it =/

then yes start at the beginning (step one) and work your way down until you get to the update section

Hello, I have a question about the ACE3DS Plus flashcart that hopefully someone can answer. I've been trying to get my ACE3DS Plus card to work on my 9.2 sysnand or my rx10.3 emunand but it usually gives me the error to power off my O3DS XL or the screen stays black. I use the files from the "official" website, when I plug it in it shows the metroid prime ds demo icon, and it works fine on my DS lite. I already tried installing the bluecardfix.cia and the flashcardtimewarp.cia to nand but that doesn't seem to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello guys, I'm on a little dilemma and hoping you could solve it. I've been thinking of buying a n3DS since as I read on other posts, there's almost no possibility to receive a console with updated firmware, so I went to the store ready to buy it, asked the guys working there if they knew something about it and they told me that the first thing that the DS force me to do is to update it. Is this true? or just some misinformation?

While on emunand RX10.3 I updated through system settings, then the system restarted. Sysnand is fine (still at 9.2 as I am unlinked) but trying to boot rxtools leaves me with a blank/black screen (after the rxtools splash screen) Am I missing something? :/

thats only when you use the eshop
when you buy a new console it has never downloaded a update before so it cant ask until it downloads one

it doesn't boot 100% of the time.

This is my 14th attempt though. The 3D light comes on and the screen seems as if it's going to boot the emunand, but nothing ever occurs. On o3ds btw.

You might need to update your firmware.bin

does it go blank before, or after, launching rxtools?

It shows the rxtools splash screen (one with the dude) then that goes away, then the black screens gets slightly less black, 3D light turns on, then nothing.

Then do what @thedude28 said first, get/update your firmware.bin. Go back to the cfw installation guide if you don't know where to find it (ctrl+f firmware.bin)

Alright, grabbed the pack in that thread and created firmware.bin, copied everything over according to the instructions. Loaded rxtools and got the installation data suite, was successful but still same end result. Forgot to mention, during this black screen I can press power and the power off screen appears, if I hit home during this screen, it stays locked on the home menu splash.

It looks like you're booting into sysnand for some odd reason.

try starting from scratch and updating your emunand from 9.2 to the latest.
