Yeah just downgrade and substitute menuhax with ninjhax.

the problem is, emuNAND9 won't boot. I'm stuck on that step.

Grab the downgrade checker and run it

Not entirely sure if this qualifies as a noob question but what do most of you do about the SD card slot? Do you just leave the back cover off?

On what the n3ds? I use ftp, a lot of people rip the screw out of the back cover.

Yeah sorry, meant on the N3DS. I'll consider the FTP thing, I admit it doesn't feel like it'll last long if I take it apart every time, seems too flimsy.

Yesterday evening I merged my pre-A9LH data with the data I had been using since then. Everything looks alright, except for the two eShop titles I had bought. They don't appear in my menu. I understand this is because my tickets database doesn't know about them. This evening I'm going to try to put the older tickets database back, as I haven't bought anything since installing A9LH.

But if I download the eShop titles again, will it notice that they're still on the SD card (but not activated), or will it download them all over again (which would be a pain in the ass).

Anyone?

Thanks! So, if I'm not mistaken, you can purchase a n3ds with the latest firmware and still be able to install ARM9, right?

You'll need a hardmod if you get one with 11.0, the guide covers and mentions that.

NO.
If by some sad coincidence you get a n3ds with 11.0(latest firmware), you'll have to hardmod it to downgrade it and hack it.
But, if you buy it brand new from the store(not rebrand/used) it should be in a hackable firmware(lower than 10.5) which can be hacked without any exploit games.
Give the guide a good read!

I'm looking at these two:

Is there a 'best cart' for what I want to do? Any other suggestions? Price isn't really an issue, but it looks like the more expensive carts were messed up by the upgrade to 11.0033.

Those two are fine for DS only games. For GBA, SNES and DS games then the DSTwo is what you want. Works just fine on stock//vanilla 11.0. I tested it as well on a stock 11.0 system.

Doubt that. They weren't even the ones to add 3DS support on their own. They emulate Gateway, and Gateway has added brick code to prevent DSTwo+ users from using their software, as for their freegame CFW, that's just a stolen ReiNand CFW that doesn't even fully work. So I wouldn't hold my breath on them getting 11.0 support for 3DS games on the Plus version.

Sounds like a good reason not to buy it. I wouldn't want to support a group that steals like that. Thanks again!
