Hacking 3430 - Bomberman 2 (EU) does not work. "Battle Mode" gives WHITE SCREENS

So here's what happened:

I'm currently running an R4i-SDHC 3DS (RTS) card with an .nds file for the game on my DS Lite. Every other game seems to work perfectly thus far. But for this game, whenever I go to the title screen, and click on "Battle Mode", both screens go completely white and the game freezes. I've tried using a new ROM, re-formatting my SD card, and disabling soft reset. None of those options have worked at all, and I'm stuck as to what I should do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I've also updated to the latest kernel (v1.77b).
