Hacking 2ds buying questions

Hi guys I have been planning on buying a 2ds so my deal is that the gateway hack only works with a 3ds or 2ds on update 5 - 9.2 from what I know so I've been planning on buying it on amazon so I don't know what firmware does the one they sell in amazon come with so I will really appreciate if somebody who has recently bought a 2ds from amazon or somebody who knows to tell with what update does the amazon units come with

Why a 2ds? IMHO, as a 2ds owner, The price difference worth the 3ds.

I personally like my 2ds more then the new 3ds XL

but if you like 3d and bigger screen the XL is better.

I am a proud owner of a 9.2U 2DS. I bought it not only because it was $70 cheaper than the XL, but I was able to buy a game too, and the 2DS fits my large hands batter without getting cramping in my hands. The 2DS comes with firmware 6.0, and can't be downgraded to 4.5, but if you get it up to 9.0~9.2, you can use the browser exploit and load the Gateway launcher to dump cartridge roms, cartridge saves, re-write saves back to the cartridge, and backup your 2DS NAND. If anyone backs up their NAND via the Gateway launcher, I recommend deleting the Update nag first.

ohh thanks Jayro do you know how can I get a 2ds to get a 9.2 update so I can use the browser exploit?

Don't need to update to use the browser exploit.


Gateway is fully compatible at firmware 6.0
