To RupeeClock, I would disagree. I thought the 3DS was EASILY worth $250 considering the potential. Nowadays, not so much.
If you werent so freaking clingy whiney and impatient then maybe we would have been spared another freaking useless montage of complaints. You want MML3 so bad? FIGHT for IT! You want AR? TELL THEM.yuyuyup said:Here are the following points I've made that people arguing with me have failed to address:
1. The most important issue of this absolutely unprecedented price slash, the undermining of Nintendo quality. A system five months old moving so much closer to the bargain bin, SO fast.
Yah OoT 3D selling 1 million units about a month and half after release. Thats the definition of a game system moving closer to the "bargin bin". ACHIEVEMENT GET!: Only person who can make a price cut look bad.
2. I bought the 3DS under the impression Augmented Reality would be an important feature. WHY did I believe such a CRAZY off the wall notion ? Oh I don't know. I guess the pack of AR cards coming to life was just too exciting and fun for me. There I go, imagining the potential of the 3DS. What was I thinking ?
Oh yeah because nintendo can just shit these ideas and it takes no time for this to come. Oh look theres KI uprising with its AR based battle system. But THATS not good enough let me just bitch some more. 3DS has tons of potential and nintendo will have minimum 5 years to prove it. So dont undermine the rose because of its thorns when it hasnt had the chance to bloom
3. 3D movies. Sure, I'm positive full-length 3D movies are coming, and I am excited. Yes, I do enjoy the few 3D movies available right now. But I'm still waiting. And it's not good that a MASSIVE HUGE PRICE SLASH came before full length 3D movies.
If anything that helps the chance full length moives. As the demand rises they will rise to please the masses. thats kind of how general marketing works.
If I wasn't such a pirating little bastard, I concede 20 free roms would be somewhat good. But I didn't ask for 20 free roms. I asked for 3D movies, Augmented Reality, and Megaman Legends 3.

And it's not good that a MASSIVE HUGE PRICE SLASH came before full length 3D movies. Uhhh... so why was it bad that a huge price slash came before those full length 3d movies?

Yes, if you weren't a pirate, those 20 free games would be really good news. You asked for 3d movies (it will come), Augmented reality (it would improve eventually, depending on the developers that would also be using that feature in their games or if the 3ds would have an update), and Megaman Legends 3 (Capcom's fault but you could probably support it's comeback in some other way)
This is my logic. I was extremely excited to get the 3DS. I was willing to spend $300 for it. I saw the $250 price, and thought "well that's really not bad. I can't afford a 3D tv, a 3D setup, etc. This is obviously the perfect solution." This was not my only reason; additional reasons only increase the perceived value.Zantigo said:So now your saying because its new its undersupported. Are we stearing into troll logic?
My friend, if it did, I'd be too busy watching 3D movies to be complaining on this thread.iluvfupaburgers said:i dont have a netflix account, but doenst netflix offer 3d movies? just wondering
Will the 3DS still be supported by this time next year ? This is a legitimate question. You people write off this price slash. Nintendo has NEVER slashed like this. Not even the Virtual Boy.iluvfupaburgers said:you should guve it time, all features cant be applied immediately. the system has like 6 months only. not even a year of being out. you should just give it time since they actually need permission from movie companies to post their movies and such
